Cheers to the Toronto Winter BrewfestNews & Events | Written on February 18, 2016
A beerfest? In the winter? And taking place only minutes from Liberty Village? Where do we sign up? The inaugural Toronto Winter Brewfest is heading our way and we are all sorts of excited! For two days this month— on Friday, February 19 and Saturday, February 20—the Enercare Centre at Exhibition Place will become the ultimate beer tasting paradise. Are you excited yet? We certainly are and that’s only the beginning!
This brewfest will feature more than 100 different beers that attendees can sample! And these aren’t just any old brews either. These beers have been crafted to drinking perfection by brewers and microbrewers across Ontario and Quebec. The list is extensive but, in order to give you a “taste” of what to expect, here are some of the brewers who will be at the Toronto Winter Brewfest:
Again, that’s only a partial list of the brewers who are currently registered to be a part of this inaugural event. For the full list, visit the Toronto Winter Brewfest website here.
The Toronto Winter Brewfest isn’t just for beer tasting. Great drinks call for equally great food. It is only right. Word on the street is that some of Toronto’s best food trucks will be joining the Brewfest and offering up gourmet bites to complement the awesome beers available on site.
And really, if you’re going to have great food and great drinks, you really should also have great music. On Friday, February 19, Tom Wrecks will be spinning from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and at 9:00pm, TechTwelve takes over and provides cool tunes until 1:00am. On Saturday, February 20, Grump plays from 5:00pm until 9:00pm, followed by Conor Cutz from 9:00pm until 1:00am.
This really is an event that promises to be a whooooole lot of fun. Tickets start at $20 and are available for presale for one day or for both days. Brewfest goers also have the option to purchase 25 or more tokens, which start at an early bird cost of $22.50. For more information about tickets, visit the Toronto Brewfest ticket page here. You can also connect with the Toronto Brewfest over social media through their Twitter feed, Instagram or Facebook.
