Delicious Dining at Paramount Fine Foods in Liberty VillageNeighbourhood | Written on August 31, 2016
Liberty Village continues to check all the boxes when it comes to incredible international cuisine. And from where we’re sitting things are looking good…and very, very delicious! Needless to say, there was no limit to our excitement when we first learned that Paramount Fine Foods would be opening a location in Liberty Village. Stellar food, excellent service and a great atmosphere; it’s the perfect combination! You may recall our first mention of Paramount’s Liberty Village location in our Foodie Update blog a few months ago. Yup, you could say that we’ve been waiting for the yumminess that is Paramount Fine Foods to open its doors in our hood for a long time. One visit to this new location is all that was needed to remind us that it sometimes takes time to create a masterpiece.
Paramount is known throughout Toronto as a great place to dine for fresh, halal Middle Eastern cuisine. There are multiple locations across our city but each has a singularity to it that helps to define it as its own. The Liberty Village location is just that – uniquely Liberty Village. Located at 165 East Liberty Street, Paramount Fine Foods is less than a five-minute walk from our Liberty Central By The Lake Two location and a quick walk from several other popular Liberty Village landmarks and venues (hello, late night dining!). It helps to know that they’re also open 7 days a week from 10:00am to 10:00pm.
Paramount’s Liberty Village restaurant manager, Cody Maclean explains that opening their location in Liberty Village was a great fit for the restaurant. They were excited to not only bring incredible halal cuisine to our area but also just to be a part of such a great, transformative, growing neighbourhood.
Paramount Fine Foods’ Liberty Village location offers a premium menu with a variety of options for dine-in and take-out service. Cody added that delivery service from the Liberty Village location is forthcoming (as soon as a few weeks away). A wide range of dishes are available for group dining as well as solo outings. For large groups, Cody explained that the mixed combo platter that includes falafels, meats, salads and sides is a popular choice. For smaller groups, it’s possible to get a half mixed platter, or, if you’re like us and can’t let a really delicious thing pass you by, you can opt for the full platter and, well, get a doggie bag and enjoy the extras for your next meal. And of course, what’s a trip to Paramount without pita glorious pita! Yum! Fresh and great to enjoy with a host of dishes, like the mezza plate, another dish that comes highly recommended. It comes with equal servings of hummus, moutabbal and tabbouleh.
The Paramount Fine Foods menu offers a range of not just incredible meat dishes – beef, chicken, lamb and sausage; there are also seafood options and a host of vegetarian selections. You won’t walk away disappointed! There is also a freshness about the dishes that can’t be denied. And of course, dining at Paramount wouldn’t be complete without dessert. Baklava is undoubtedly a popular choice but there are also lots of other great choices to satisfy your sweet tooth. Paramount Fine Food’s Appetizer, Salad, Main Course, Family Platter, Wrap, Manakeesh, Sweets and Desserts and Beverage menus are all available on their website.
We are over the moon that Paramount Fine Foods now includes Liberty Village among the great places in our city where it offers its wonderful, quality service and food. This is really only the beginning of this incredible union. Paramount, welcome to your new home. We’ve been waiting for you!
