The Taco Festival is organized by TasteToronto; to us that means that you should be extra excited. There are a host of vendors lined up to serve up the delicious dishes at this Mexican-themed event. For the duration of the Taco Festival, attendees will be able to enjoy dishes from a range of great restaurants and food trucks including:

Cardinal Rule

El Caballito

El Trompo

Fidel Gastro’s

Fonda Lola

Frida Restaurant

Heirloom Food Truck

Junked Food Co.

Little Fin

Macho Radio Bar

Mi Taco Taqueria

Playa Cabana

Rancho Relaxo

The Pop Stand

and more…

Collectively, those restos and food trucks are packing some serious accolades. Cardinal Rule, for example has been featured on the Food Network’s You Gotta Eat Here! program and, if you don’t know Fidel Gastro’s from an incredible meal with them, you may recall them from a recent feature at Metro Supermarket in Liberty Village on City TV’s Breakfast Television.

So, what deliciousness can you expect to enjoy from these restaurants during these three days? The main food categories at the Taco Festival are:

Those sound like just what’s needed to celebrate Mexican cuisine in our area! The Taco Festival won’t just feature some of best Taco restos in Toronto, there’ll also be entertainment, and in keeping with the theme of the event, that translates to a Mariachi Band, live music and a Piñata Challenge! There will also be a variety of tastings available to patrons.
