We wrote about Liberty Village’s incredible Farmers’ Market in a previous blog. We mention it again here because it will remain open until November 1 this year and it continues to offer fresh produce right here in our neighbourhood. Pretty awesome, right? There aren’t many areas in Toronto that can claim their own Farmers’ Market.
It’s open Sundays from 10am to 3pm and in addition to fresh fruits and veggies, our Farmers’ Market on Hanna Street also hosts great vendors like Montforte Dairy and VQA Winery that allow patrons to sample cheeses and wines before making a purchase. It really is great and very convenient to have myriad supermarkets in Liberty Village as well as an incredible Farmers’ Market that remains open until so late in the season. Colour us lucky in Liberty Village!
If you’re a foodie, you’ll feel right at home in Liberty Village. If you’re a foodie who prefers healthy eating and enjoys a special diet, Liberty Village really is where you belong. There are a host of incredible international restaurants in our area with mouth-watering vegan, vegetarian and organic menu options but also, there are dine in and take-out restaurants in our neighbourhood that offer strictly organic, vegan and vegetarian menus. Live Organic Bar never disappoints, Freshii is on its way (and we haven’t been able to contain our excitement since we found out), Mildred’s Temple Kitchen offers great vegetarian options and The Golden Apple Confectionary’s vegan desserts are simply magical. Merenda Kitchen also offers Italian food that’s made using organic ingredients! Yes, thank you!! And that’s really just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Eating well and healthily are two things we understand and thrive at in Liberty Village.
