It’s all in the Beer Festivals

Fun | Written on July 8, 2016

The heat is on! It’s summer and we’re living it up in Liberty Village with a bevy of festivals, outdoor events, and an all ‘round awesome time in our equally awesome neighbourhood. And summer in Liberty Village wouldn’t be summer without fun in the sun with friends and some cool, cool drinks. Oh yes, Villagers, it’s time to talk about ice cold pints and the upcoming Toronto beer festivals!

First up, and, happening right here in Liberty Village at the Liberty Market Building is the Summer Craft Beer Festival! We have to say, there really is something spectacular about this festival in particular. The brick façade that forms the backdrop for the event, the stores and spaces that are open for sales and browsing and the local vendors and neighbours who all come together for an evening to relax, have a few drinks and enjoy the festival on a whole, really contributes to making this event feel more like a day among friends in our area than a festival of its magnitude. The atmosphere is fantastic!

This Liberty Village beer fest is a pay-as-you-enjoy event with vouchers sold at a cost of $1 each. And with most samples costing $1, enjoying this fest to the fullest won’t mean that you’ll have to break the bank. Tickets are required for entry and can be purchased online up to one hour before the start of the event. General admission tickets are $22.50 and include 5 sample vouchers. Because this event aims to celebrate alcohol, food and fun in Liberty Village and in Toronto, entry is restricted to persons who are 19 years and older who present valid ID.

While beer will certainly be the focus of this fun event, there are lots of other reasons to attend. Vendors from the Liberty Market Building will be offering special deals and there will vendors onsite dishing up delicious dishes to complement the flow of beer. There will also be music and entertainment during the course of the Summer Craft Beer Festival.

This really is a feel-good, always well-attended, fun event in Liberty Village and the Summer Craft Beer Festival has photos from previous years to prove it! If there’s one thing that you do on Thursday, July 14, it should be enjoying the Summer Craft Beer Festival at 171 Liberty Street E. For more information, you can visit the event page on the Liberty Market Building website.

The Roundhouse Park, a 6-minute cab ride or a 25-minute bus or streetcar ride from our Liberty Central By The Lake Two location, is home to this year’s Roundhouse Craft Beer Festival. The event’s central location at 255 Bremner Boulevard offers ample space and opportunity for festival goers to walk, hang out, stop and enjoy a meal, and of course, drink beers!
