Grab your captain’s hat, it’s time to sail away! The Toronto International Boat Show is here and it will certainly have you staring longingly at your Liberty Central By The Lake view of Lake Ontario and dreaming of summer days and warmer temperatures. And don’t worry. Even if Santa didn’t bring you a boat this Christmas, the Toronto International Boat Show still has a lot to offer you!
Starting January 8, 2016, North America’s largest indoor boat show kicks off at Enercare Centre at Exhibition Place, and runs until Sunday, January 17. That’s lots of time to enjoy the myriad things being offered at this year’s event.
If you are considering purchasing a boat or, if you are interested in boat accessories, there really will be no better opportunity to see such a vast array of boats and related boat items than the Toronto International Boat Show. This year’s event will host more than 500 exhibitors, with many persons who will be on hand to assist and/or guide first-time attendees and new boaters on different purchases and various products. On January 8, the Boat Show will open its doors for “New Preview Day” that will grant early access to the entire show, great deals and auctions, all without the crowds.
Throughout the course of the event, there will also be a program available specifically for persons who are new to boating. This includes, on-site personnel and experts who can respond to any number of questions, ranging from where to go boating to budgets to how best to purchase boats to how to make the most of the Toronto International Boat Show! There will also be a “New Boating Welcome Centre” (set up between Hall B and Mariners Marketplace), seminars for new boaters, daily demonstrations and guided floor tours (also available in languages other than English), CPS virtual skills training for boaters of all levels and, and extensive details on boating accessibility for persons with physical or financial limitations.
That is only the beginning of this incredible event! The cold temperatures that we have experienced so far in 2016 will be no match for the world’s largest indoor lake at the Toronto International Boat Show. Oh yes! This is a large (and very awesome) dose of summertime fun in the heart of winter. You can relax lakeside, enjoy the classic Wakeboard Show or the Water Ski Show (sponsored by Summer Water Sports, Canada’s largest water sports company), enjoy canoeing, kayaking and paddle boating, or get guided lessons on these and other water sports. We think this may be the very definition of awesomeness!
