Summer Beer Festivals In and Around Liberty VillageFun | Written on July 7, 2015
What would summer in Liberty Village be without great drinks in our equally great location? Add that to the fact that, in Liberty Village, we know how to have a good time and you find yourself with not one, but two great beer festivals!
First up is the Summer Craft Beer Fest. Liberty Villagers won’t have to go very far to quench their thirst for good beer at a superb price on Thursday, July 9th since the Summer Craft Beer Fest is being held at the Liberty Market Building at 171 Liberty Street East. Organizers have scheduled the event for 5pm-10pm so you can head there directly after work (or anywhere else that you may be enjoying the summer from). As a word of caution though, you may want to consider taking Friday off to *ahem* rest. The Summer Craft Beer Fest will feature renowned talent in the world of craft brewing as well as lots of local vendors from Liberty Village to provide delicious dishes to accompany your ice-cold drinks. It also doesn’t hurt that the event will be pay as you go so you can choose to have as much or, well, much more than you can handle. The line-up for the Summer Craft Beer Fest includes, Amsterdam Brewery, Beau’s All Natural Brewing Company, Big Rock Brewery, Creemore Springs Brewery, Double Trouble Brewing Company, Hogtown Brewers, Junction Craft Brewing, Liberty Village Brewing Company, Mill Street Brewery, Oast House Brewers, Wellington Brewery, Goose Island Beer Company, Mackinnon Brothers Brewing Company, Publican Brewing Company, Waterloo Brewing Company, Horizon Beers, Brimstone Brewing Company, Broadhead Brewing Company and Brick Works Ciderhouse.
If you like beer and like fun, then the Summer Craft Beer Fest is definitely for you. With sample vouchers for only $1, it’s an inexpensive way to spend your Thursday! To learn more you can visit the event page or follow Summer Craft Beer Fest on Twitter at: @summercraftbeer.
You’ll have just enough time to recover from all that the Summer Craft Beer Fest has to offer before having a repeat of cold lagers, fun and great prices at Toronto’s Festival of Beer from July 24-26 at Bandshell Park. We feel the need to break it to you that tickets for Saturday, July 25 have already sold out so if you really are serious about fun, beer and more fun, you should get your tickets soon. Bandshell Park is about a 15-minute walk from Liberty Central By The Lake Two so our location and Liberty Village in general make it especially convenient to commute to both festivals.
Like the Summer Craft Beer Fest, Toronto’s Festival of Beer isn’t just about cold brews (though that is undoubtedly a big part of it). Each of the three nights of Toronto’s Festival of Beer will include live performances on the Bandshell Stage. On Friday night at 8:30pm Hare Squead take the stage followed by Naughty By Nature at 9:40pm. 54-40’s performance will begin at 6:30pm on Saturday, July 25 and on Sunday, July 26, Ryan O’ Shaughnessy will perform at 3:30pm, Hermitage Green will go on at 4:30pm, Delorentos begin performing at 5:30pm followed finally by Lowest of the Low at 6:30pm.
The event’s food vendors include some of Toronto’s most recognizable (and delicious) eateries. South St. Burger Co., Smoke’s Poutinerie, Ted’s World Famous BBQ, Rock Lobster, The Pie Commission and Pizza Libretto are just a few. And because this is a beer festival, there’ll also be a special, “Irish Pavillion” featuring 10 breweries. Plus, there’ll be Beerlicious Grilling Sessions with some of Toronto’s well-known culinary geniuses, Brewmaster Sessions and a whole lot more! If you don’t live in Liberty Village and want to stay the night close by, the festival has made arrangements with the Hilton hotel to offer special rates to event-goers. Yes, the organizers for Toronto’s Festival of Beer have pulled out all the stops to make this fest very, very memorable. You won’t want to miss it.
Tickets include 5 sample tokens and start at $39.50. Contact the Festival’s organizers for more information.
