The 2nd Annual Taste of Toronto Festival

Fun | Written on June 30, 2015

We apologize in advance. Reading this blog will make you very, very hungry. The Taste of Toronto Festival (in all its delicious glory) will be held from July 2-5 in Fort York. Oh yes, that’s the equivalent of a 5-minute walk from Liberty Central By The Lake One and Two. Talk about convenience!

The Taste of Toronto Festival, now in its second year, brings together Toronto’s most incredible restaurants and food and beverage producers for four days of culinary mastery and foodie enjoyment. It will be a feast!

Here’s how the Festival works: over the course of four days, there will be six sessions, each 4-5 hours long.  Each ticket you purchase will be good for entry to one session of your choosing. During each session, you will have your pick of close to 50 restaurant dishes and the opportunity to explore stalls and enjoy the entertainment and food-related activities and classes provided. Many producers and restaurants will be offering free samples but to able to try the dishes and produce that you find most mouth-watering, you will need a Crown card. The Crown card will operate as the event’s currency, allowing you the ability to purchase what you want and participate in the classes that you would like to. The event organizers recommend putting $30 on your card to start and refilling it if you find that that doesn’t provide you all the deliciousness that you desire.

There promises to be a lot of yumminess all around but don’t just take our word for it. You can find a list of the restaurants participating in the event here and some of the culinary masterminds behind the event here.

Planned activities include: a Taste Theatre, Metro Master Classes, the Tasting Room, a Delta Air Lines VIP Lounge and a Music Stage.
