The 2nd Bunz Flea Market

News & Events | Written on December 15, 2016

We have all done it – purchased an item and realized a moment too late that we shouldn’t have.  Think back to that deal that was just too good to pass up; I mean, you’ve never cooked a day in your life but the price of that mixer would make a chef out of anyone, right? Or what about those Black Friday savings that left you with two appliances a piece when your condo could barely accommodate one. Sure, you can always just give away things that you don’t need, or you can try to sell them to someone in our city or, alternatively, you could exchange them for something that you actually want or need. That, in essence, is the story behind bunz.com. It’s an online platform for trading goods or services…and it’s all the rage in Toronto. Give away all that neat stuff that you simply don’t need or have no use for and get stuff that you do need, or get a service done in exchange!

If you haven’t yet checked out the Bunz website, you’ll be able to do one better on December 20th. Fresh off the success of their first-ever Bunz Flea Market in October of this year, Bunz is hosting their 2nd Flea Market on Tuesday, right in our area at the Gladstone Hotel. Pretty awesome, right? There’ll be vendors on site who will accept a good trade for items and there’ll also be lots of vendors who will also accept cash in exchange for goods. That translates to lots of great shopping options. The concept behind Bunz is a great one and it will be really convenient to experience it in person, a short 10-minute commute away at the Gladstone Hotel.

The Bunz Flea Market also comes with a great helping of charitable giving. Visitors will be able to contribute to a fundraising initiative to help send children to school in India. Ingrid Gayle and her daughter will be selling paintings, that are created by her daughter, with proceeds going to this cause.  Event organizers will also be collecting items in the following categories for donations to the Red Door Family Shelter: Winterwear, Toiletries, Kitchen Items, Bed and Bath Items, Baby Products and Items for Teens. For additional details on the types of items being accepted, check out this Bunz Flea Facebook post.

The 2nd edition of the Bunz Flea Market is a great place to get great, original items and to do your final holiday shopping (for others or for yourself).  You won’t want to miss the cool, indoor market. We certainly won’t!
