The Spring 2016 One of a Kind Show and Sale

Neighbourhood | Written on March 16, 2016

For our one of a kind neighbourhood, there’s hardly a more fitting event than Toronto’s One of a Kind Show & Sale. We featured the Fall show on our Live in Liberty blog and after the great feedback and the success of their event, we were really excited to learn that the time had arrived for their Spring show at the Enercare Centre at Exhibition Place. If you missed their last show, you certainly won’t want to miss this one. And if you were a part of their incredible event last Fall, we’re certain that you’ll be excited about the Spring One of a Kind Show & Sale, running from March 23 to March 27 this year.

The One of a Kind Show has been around and, both fostering and providing a platform for local, handmade, artisanal items since its inception in 1975. It’s a creative marketplace where inspired craftsmen and craftswomen can share their creativity and work with the community. For a neighbourhood like Liberty Village where uniqueness and creativity are celebrated and embraced, having the One of a Kind Show in our area is definite cause for excitement.

The One of a Kind Etsy Section
Etsy has partnered with the One of a Kind Show for the fourth year in a row to bring some of the amazing work of Etsy artists and creators to the show. There’ll be more than 40 Etsy artisans at the One of a Kind Show, which translates to lots of stunning (and one of a kind) pieces for sale from some of Etsy’s great creators.

The One of a Kind Craft Community Event made its first appearance at the 2011 One of a Kind Spring show and, since then, they have helped to connect numerous recent graduates with the One of a Kind Shows where they have been able to showcase and sell items that they’ve made. Second and third prize winners will receive $300 and $200 respectively. A People’s Choice winner will also be chosen. He or she will receive $200.
