We be jammin’! While many may be counting down to the end of summer, in Liberty Village, we’re gearing up for another great festival and a whole lot more fun! That’s just how we like to do things. In our area, there is always something exciting going on! From Friday, September 16 to Sunday, September 18 at Fort York Garrison Common that excitement comes in the form of the Toronto Urban Roots Festival, or TURF for short. We will definitely be jammin’!

TURF is an annual festival that brings together artists from different genres for a weekend of incredible music. The vibe is amazing— it’s somewhat reminiscent of Coachella and other large open air festivals. Having the Toronto Urban Roots Festival so close to us in Liberty Village is definite cause for excitement!

There are four stages where the 44 artists slated to perform at this year’s event will entertain audiences and, there will also be a separate area for kids. Performances will take place on the main East and West stages as well as the Battle of York Stage (designated for Canadian artists) and the Rebellion Stage. Each area will be set up slightly differently and, as in previous years, attendees can bring folding chairs and blankets for seating though there will also be blankets and seating available on site. It will be important to settle in comfortably; you won’t want to miss a moment of the incredible performances at this year’s event. Here’s what you can look forward to:
