Your Liberty Village Update – Upcoming Events

Spring seems to have sprung a few weeks early this year and the warmer weather has certainly broadened the smiles of Liberty Villagers and added some noticeable sprightliness to those walking around our neighbourhood. Nonetheless, if you’ve been left wondering how best to trade your skis and skates for more spring weather-friendly activities this month, we’ve got you covered. Here are some of the things happening in and around Liberty Village this month.

One of the really awesome things about living in Liberty Village is our easy access to popular venues like Exhibition Place, the BMO field, and, of course, Fort York! This March Break, Fort York invites you to drop in for tours, games and all-around fun! From Monday, March 14 to Friday March 18, 10:00am – 4:00pm, you and your family can sample delicious treats prepared in Fort York’s 1812 Officers’ Mess Kitchen, enjoy tours of Fort York’s grounds and learn about their incredible history, and for kids, they can pick up a guide and search for clues and complete games and puzzles during their visit. Exhibition Place

In the mood for something on an even bigger scale? Exhibition Place is hosting 3 events in the area in the coming weeks:

The National Home Show, from March 11th – 20th
The National Home Show is the place to get new, innovative and very cool items for you home. Attendees will also be able to tour a very snazzy home that was built specifically for this event! With more than 700 retailers and industry experts participating, there’ll be someone available to answer any question, a whole lot of displays that will inspire and, lots of products to purchase to update your home or to make your home complete. Canada Blooms, from March 11th – 20th
Canada Blooms coincides with The National Home, and with good reason. Lots of great homes are made to look and feel event greater with a garden or flowers. As Canada’s largest garden and flower festival, you don’t have to be a plant lover to find something to enjoy at this event. There’ll be home and garden seminars, horticulture shows, flower displays plus home and garden items for sale! What’s more, visitors to Canada Blooms can enjoy this great festival and The National Home Show, all for the price of a single ticket. Wizard World, from March 13th – 20th
There’s really only one word to describe what patrons can expect from Wizard World: FUN! This incredible indoor event features everything from a petting zoo to arcades and games to camel rides, a bubble show, an interactive kids area and oh so much more! You’ll be seeing lots of green from March 7th – 20th at Brazen Head in Liberty Village. Head to their location at 165 East Liberty Street for a celebration to remember that will include, a special Irish menu, partying, and certainly, lots of pints and, join them on March 17th for some extra special St. Patty’s Day celebrations! Check out Brazen’s Head on Facebook to keep up to date on the festivities.


There’s lots going on in Liberty Village in the coming days and weeks! From festivals and shows to family-friendly events and St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, there’s definitely something happening that you’ll enjoy.
